Pelvic Floor Foundation with Dr. Allea Francis


Join us for an engaging and informative Pelvic Floor Foundation Workshop and Exercise Class, presented in collaboration with Dr. Allea Francis, DPT, a pelvic floor specialist. This workshop will delve into:

  • Learn the mechanics and functions of your pelvic floor muscles, and how they interact with the diaphragm, abdominal, and spinal muscles.
  • Learn to perform a Diastasis Recti Abdominis (DRA) assessment 
  • Apply these concepts to foundational exercises like squats, deadlifts, abdominal exercises, and single-leg movements, with a focus on core control and functionality.
  • Use the "knack" technique to help reduce pelvic pressure and leakage.
  • Review of key concepts and an open Q&A to address any questions with Dr. Allea Francis.

Dr. Allea Francis is a compassionate pelvic floor physical therapist with a strong teaching background, having served as an instructor and faculty member at Chapman University's Physical Therapy Department. She passionately mentors fellow colleagues and has contributed to the field by working as a teaching assistant for the Pelvic Education Alliance.

Dr. Francis's extensive expertise is showcased through a range of certifications, emphasizing her dedication to comprehensive care, covering various aspects of pelvic health, nutrition, and mindfulness. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys the outdoors and values time spent with loved ones and her loyal companion Brutus.
